Winter is coming!

Or almost here.  Soon Christmas will be over and January will be upon us with cold winds, damp air and endless amounts of rain for the next few months.

Unsurprisingly it’s an expensive time of year for many homeowners who wind up spending more money than they should because their home is not energy efficient.  There’s never been a better time to get an energy performance certificate or EPC that will include all sorts of handy recommendations that could help insulate your home and save you lots of money in the long term.  The world has never been more conscious of the need to preserve the environment and reduce carbon emissions and insulating your homes is a good way to help create a more sustainable future for all.  So give us a call or contact us and we will be happy to assist.

What is an Energy Performance Certificate?

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) measures the energy efficiency of a property on a scale of A-G, first introduced in 2007 as a legal requirement for any building that you wish to sell, let or build and are valid for 10 years once assessed.

The most efficient homes – which should have the lowest fuel bills – are in band , the least efficient are in band G – the EPC will show the amount of CO2 emissions produced by that property in tonnes, and will advise on the amount this could be reduced by.

Have a happy and sustainable new year from all at Libra Energy!
